meRRy cHriStMas....

season's greetings to all... its Christmas morning and everyone lining up to use the bathroom... we're all getting ready for yet another wonderful day of season's eatings and opening presents of course... Clarissa arrived here safely... minus one of my presents which she left on the Amtrak... *wahhh.... she forgot me??!! NOT.. she loves me too much to forget about me.

Anyways.. after some shopping and major baking around the Milizia household... we all ATE a lot... Christmas eve was spent with Mario's side of the family... i got to see all of Peter's cousin-sisters once again...so that was fun just ganging up against the guys... today... we are joined by Kozy, Catherine and Nancy's side of the family.

Mathew and I were hoping for a very white Christmas... Matt's reason.. he's been in California for a while now and as for me... I missed out on a white Christmas last year.. since Peter and I were both back in Penang and on Christmas day, we were in Shangri-La Golden Sands Hotel basking under the sun listening to the ocean while spotting Michele Yeoh trying to check in with the rest of her family.

Okies... me gonna scurry downstairs now to get some Christmas breakfast... will have pictures posted soon!~!~ Merry Christmas everyone!

maSqUeRraDe... paper faces on parade...

Few months back... Michele and I were jumping in our seats during previews to one of the movies we went to see... why?!~ They are making a movie/musical/action version of the Phantom of the Opera.. imagine our excitement and glee as we wait for December 17th for it to open in the US. Alas... late November... there was some sort of pushed back of the movie opening to December 22nd... what?!~ More waiting... fine.. we will be patient!~! Why all this huff puff about another Phantom... see it once, you've seen them all right? NO!~!~ Even though we both saw the broadway version of Phantom, even though we both ushered at Shea's and saw it 4 times or more, and at different levels and angels from the theather house... and even though we have been singing to the soundtrack driving back and forth from Rochester... we MUST and we WILL be seeing it again!~!~ We both were rooting for Anne Hathaway from Princesc Diaries to be Christine.. but, me thinks Emmy Rossum will do well... so it's another day of waiting it shall be... until then... ALL I ASK OF YOU... is to think of me fondly!~!~ *wink.. Posted by Hello

wATerBoys

After dinner, the three of us girls joined by another friend Tomoka, who is staying over, plopped ourselves in front of the tele to watch this Japanese movie Sharon got hold of. It's called the Waterboys... 5 guys from high school... who somehow got themselves into forming an aLL-male synchronized-swim team!~ All four of us were cracking up... the soundtrack was upbeat and great and the storyline gave us a great laugh. If you enjoy those Stephen Chau's movies (eg. Shaolin Soccer, God of Cookery)... this one is a younger, hipper, teen version of that kind of comedy!~!~ I know that some of you guys upon seeing this show would comment some not so nice things.. but think of it as a slapstick to all things comedy!~!~ Girls... lotsa guys in speedos and tanned.. rather skinny... heck.. you getta see lotsa "beHInD" and male-booTie!~ Go out and get it!~!~ Suzuki's adorable!~!~ Posted by Hello

presents galore...

I know that I am somewhat complaining here.. but you really gotta hear what I have been up to this week!! MORE SHOPPING... I was pretty much done shopping for most of the people on my list, minus the occasional what-else-can-I-get-these folks-items & the oh-I-so-gotta-get-that-for-you-know-who stuffs... you get what I'm talking about... but I have been dragged along by Michele and Lori to more shopping...

Why on earth did I put up with it... well.. first, I was lazy to cook... too cold to even bother do anything but snuggle under the covers and most importantly... WHEN I do go shopping with them.. they would FEED me!! Thanks to Scottie... I got fed well today.. we went to Zeb's for a late breakfast and lunch for me.. and throw in dinner to at 5pm.

Michele, Sharon and I are pretty much done wrapping... well.. at this moment in time, both of them are still wrapping and I am here blogging away.. we had to pile up all the presents behind the sofa since we have not much room around from all the mess of tissue, wrapping paper, tape and bags. This year... I think we came pretty close in beating Santa's sack of presents!~!~ Posted by Hello

sNow Day!

Here's a picture which I took on my way to school today... and Boy.. did it snowed.. and SNOWEd! Tell me something that I don't already know...friends have been calling checking on me since the Weather channel has a tendency to make any snow day in Buffalo a bigger deal than it really is... I LOVE the snow.. minus the shovelling and cleaning after my boots when I walked in the townhouse.. but, it really is not that bad.. you learn to manage... and sprinkling salt all around your front porch in hope that Mr. Postman bearing all the lovely X'mas cards to come.. would not fall or worst... slip and break something. I did mentioned in my previous blogs that I love the pufferry white soft white flakes that fall.. because they are the easiest to shake off... just a soft brush or blow and it flutters away!~!~ To all my dearest friends who inquired about my personal well being.. thank you so much for caring and checking in on me... it meant a lot!~! Wishing you all well.. drive carefull and happy shopping!~!~ Posted by Hello

Holiday rush...

WHat a busy weekend I had.... with final papers due, travelling back and forth from Rochester and Buffalo, a funeral (*sniff..sniffss), Christmas shopping, birthdays & early Christmas parties... phEw!~!~ I need to stop and catch my breath... and to add to the list... SNOW removal... at least we are over the sleet and slush part of winter.. (for now that is...) I enjoy the fluffy light powdery snow that you can easily brush off your shoulders or car or patio... what else did I manage to accomplish this busy filled weekend? Michele and I got some lights strung outside out little fenced-in patio... it looked sooo festive with the wreaths we hung up earlier in the month!~!~ Christmas musing playing everywhere we go... are we all geared up for X'mas or what??!! This Guy's In Love

Many of you have asked about the music currently on my blog and I am glad to hear that many of you are entranced by Steve Tyrell as much as I have been. His voice is so delightful to listen to and his selection of songs on this album just makes you smile while you try to mouth the the words to it...

Lyrics to That's All
I can only give you love that lasts forever,
And a promise to be near each time you call.
And the only heart I own
For you and you alone
That's all,
That's all...

I can only give you country walks in springtime
And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall;
And a love whose burning light
Will warm the winter's night
That's all,
That's all.

There are those I am sure who have told you,
They would give you the world for a toy.
All I have are these arms to enfold you,
And a love even time can't destroy.

If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear,
You'll be glad to know that my demands are small.
Say it's me that you'll adore,
For now and evermore
That's all,
That's all.

X'mas shopping...

Only 20 days till Christmas and I haven't exactly started my Christmas shopping... I did get some stuff already but they don't count as I have yet to barge into the stores in the mall and avoid other shoppers in getting what I want before they get to it first. Oh the glorious shopping rush before Christmas!~!~ Christmas this year is gonna be a fun one with all the girls outnumbering the guys... there's Peter, Mathew, Mario and Ryan vs. Nancy, Sharon, Michele, Clarissa, Catherine, Kozy and Me!~! I think there's gonna be just one tree this year as opposed to previous years (Mario wasn't happy with the first, so he got another)... it's gonna be a challenge in getting all those presents under the tree!~!~ Posted by Hello

sNOw...

At last it fell.... although it was surprisingly late... SNOW did finally fall on Buffalo!~! Woke up to a bright all white view from my bedroom window.... the sidewalks and street were ploughed... and on the sides, snow covered grass and trees and of course not forgetting... my car which I have to dig out. Oh fret not of the work in snow removal.. I enjoy the sight of it... its pleasant looking at snow accumulated on branches, or anything in particular and you wish at the same time... how it would all disappear when blown away by a gust of wind... kind of a relaxing thought don't you think?Posted by Hello

finals week..

It's that time of the year again... FINAL week of classes and FINAL papers and presentation are due. Granted that I sorta completed 2 out of 4 classes requirements... there's still work to be done!~ I have never ever done soo much reading for school... and this semester was THE one that I read the most... What have I gotten myself into??!! AArrgh...

Looking at the comic strip attached... how I wish VIRUSes were a legal excuse for anything related to schoolwork!~!~ All I have left to do for this semester, a take home final (answer 2 questions with about 1500 words per question on Finance in HED) and revising a paper that I will be presenting in class on Thursday on comparing textbook issues between the US and Malaysia. Oh What FUN!~!~ Right.... Posted by Hello
