getting to know you

After dinner... Sharon, Michele and I rushed to Shea's Theatre with minutes to spare for the King and I, this is the first musical for this 04-05 year... excited.. Sandy Duncan was great but we all thought that the King could have been a bit more "King-ish"??!! We do sympathize for the fact that NO ONE can be as great as the KING as Yul Bryner!

weekend chefs...

what did we make this time??? Well.. to start off, we had some les petite toasts with some brie topped off with grilled red peppers and tomatoes. A salad on the side and a main course which comprised of... a Cajun crusted broiled salmon on a bed of toasted pine nut couscous, sauteed mushroom and onion and a fresh mozarella-tomato salad with some olive oil and fresh basil!~!~!~ Thanks to Scottie... we finished off our early dinner with 4 choices of yummy creamy cheesecake... there was strawberry cream, double chocolate, peanut butter and a chocolate fudge one....

breakfast is back!~!~

I did not actually crawl out of bed but did so fairly with ease.. took a shower and was all refreshed and HUNGRY. No one was home.. then Michele came back from sending Sharon to work.. imagine that on a Saturday too. Well, we both wanted a somewhat big breakfast.. and I was in no mood to cook... and away we went to Bob Evans for breakfast... yumm..... I had a Southwestern Omelete with homefries and toast!~

haPPy hour... part dEuX...

so last night.... Friday.... Michele and I were at Crocodile bar for School of Informatics happy hour session.. its sokay I guess, but we only stayed there for a short while before we went across the street to McMonkeys to surprise Scottie.. luckily for us there was a live band playing that night called About Face and they were awesome!~ The girls were great and one of them played the saxophone ( 3 different kinds) and the flute and she blew us all away! Hurrah for About Face!!

As for me? I know Michele would not let me leave this down but let's say I survived the night!~!~Anyways, me changing the subject here... some dude tried propositioning me for a date or whatever else he had in mind. Thing is.. he's married.. with kids and has a girlfriend!~! Imagine that... the nerve of him to even suggest and tried to catch another girlfriend... ah yes.. whatever MOral Fiber he has.. or NONE!~!~

What's for dinner?? Let' see... a lemon pepper broiled salmon under buttery mash potatoes topped with diced tomatoes in garlic and olive oil. On the side.. some french cut green beans and grilled dill potatoes with some onions... yumm!!~

saturDAY mornin'...

It's 10.45 am on a Saturday morning and I have been up and about for the past hour or so. *sigh... a much deserved Saturday slow morning... no rushing getting ready to go to school & work. And what a week gas it been... my weekend somewhat starts on Thursday as that is the last day of the week when I have class. Although I have no class on Mondays, it's crunch time for me getting all my work done bt then before the looong Tuesday dragged itself in. Overall... I am settling into the hectic weekdays and mellowing out towards the weekends.. but don't we all agree that we sooo need longer weekends??!~!~

don't FORGET me...

after happy hour... what next? To the movies we went... only this time Michele opted out... so Mary, Tomoka and I countinued our Friday night out to see the Forgotten. things started out a little on the dark side.. till "WHOMP!~ everyone in the cinema jumped when we all thought we WERE in a car crash.. talk about an unexpected moment... we all liked the show cause all of us jumped a few times... and Julianne Moore's great!~

hAppY hOUr..

Weekend's here!~!~ And a Happy Hour we will go!~!~ Met more people... really nice people at the GSE happy hour at Blu Bistro down the South Campus. At first my worry was where am I gonna park??!! But I got a great spot right in front of the Bar... :P Great indication that we got the right place... it was Blue of course... and next to it was Osaka Sushi Bar. That explains the sushi hors d'oeuvres.... so there I was with Michele... by partner in crime actually having beer and sushi.. and to think that we two are not much of a beer drinker.. wine more like it.... we both completed out big tall glass of beer!~~ Clap Clap for for us both!~!~
