Lovewrecked

The girls and I watched the ABC Family premier of Lovewrecked (January 21st, 2007) starring Amanda Bynes and it was just oh so cute! Apparently, it was supposed to be out in 2005 but was sitting on some shelf before it got released as a television movie last week. Who else is in the movie? There's Chris Carmack who played Luke on the OC, Jamie-Lynn Siegler from The Sopranos and a definite hottie Jonathan Bennett. Can't help but gush over this over cute-sy movie, but I can't help it that once in a while... you are reminded of your teenage years by watching such tween-chick-flick! :P

Car watching...

Here's a look at my old, yet "new" Satria back in Penang. Guess mom and dad decided to get it a new coat of fresh paint. It is all white now.. minus the black front and back bumpers it originally had.

Notice the University at Buffalo & University of Hawaii sticker... school pride. Hey, what happened to my Longhorns sticker?!! Go Texas!!

And here's mom's new ride... an olive green Myvi.
Okay people... I know what is in your mind.... 4D!! ;P

White winter arrives...

Winter finally arrives in Western New York after a really green Christmas and new year's. While some of us (snowboard and ski enthusiasts) may be glad to see snow on the ground again (you can't have a cold winter minus the snow!), we weren't too thrilled to see ice. A couple midwest states have been hit hard by ice storms and while we may have recovered from the October Surprise snow storm, I don't think the trees of WNY can take another big hit. Here are some shots taken this morning on my way to work of how the trees are holding up...

Seven years....

Today marks exactly seven years since I left Penang to NY for my college education. January 8th, 2000 seemed like it was only yesterday when I packed all my stuff, moved across the globe to a new environment and was engulfed in an entirely new surrounding.

Looking back, I am thankful for the friends I have met, what I have achieved academically and professionally at work, the different places I have travelled and lived at, and most importantly my dearest Peter.

I transfered into UB as a sophomore that very Spring 2000 semester when Peter himself transfered from U of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. One year and 9 months later, our friendship brought us together and we have been together ever since.

Our very own stamps!!

Here's a our very own customized US stamps. I love using Flickr and its many tools for projects... from the coffee-table picture book of our years together, which Pete and I are currently compiling to making our very own personalized US stamps!

pete&sher stamp

I stumbled upon zazzle.com from Flickr and got a great holiday deal - 20 stamps with free shipping for only $9.99. Normal price for a customized/personalized set of 20 $0.39 stamps can set you back for $17.99. Therefore, keep checking back the website for deals, promotions and/or discounts! We are using these stamps to send out our thank you cards for Christmas presents we received. The size of the stamp is 2.5 by 1.5 inches. No worries about getting "STAMPED" on our faces, because there won't be any stamping required. Notice the barcodes?! That's how they work!! The stamps are printed on a glossy sticker paper which does not leave fingerprints residue on them. Neat right?! This is a great personalizing fun way to send out greetings cards, wedding invites, save the date, baby annoucement, etc. Go check it out!

The Cider for me!

My favorite cider of all time... STRONGBOW!
Petey found them for me at the Beers of the World store in Henrietta, NY. Christmas was merry toasting with Strongbow and ofcourse, new year's eve with Strongbow from the tap at Fox and Fiddle in downtown Toronto (106 John Street).

Strongbow... CRISP!

A cider alternative, is Woodchuck Draft Cider from Middlebury, VT.
