Anniversary,,,

Peter and I celebrated our 7 years anniversary with a quiet evening at home... finalizing our wedding day details. Seven years later.. and 10 days counting down to our NY wedding... here we are still together being as silly, adventurous, caring, funny, and all those Sherene&Peter things you have known us for throughout these many years...
- here's to us!!

I had a great time at home - throw an intimate backyard barbeque with close family and friends with a delicious fruit-tastic tart courtesy of Amelia, we have a party!!

Sharon in Indianapolis

August 9th - it took one minivan, one suv and Sharon's Cobalt to move her to Indianapolis. It was a smooth drive and an easy move. Upon arrival at her new place, we met Claire, Sharon's new housemate and her family. Both Sharon & Claire will be in the same Doctorate of Psychology (PyschD) program at University of Indianapolis. Good luck to both girls in your new program and in school! We miss you a lot Sharon!!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - NYC

Chele & Sharon organized a 3-day girls' weekend+bachelorette party for me in the city from August 1st-3rd. It was a blast!! The weekend started off early when Chele, Sharon, Joanna, Mom and I got into the city around 8:00 a.m. The day was spent with renewal of passport for Chele and myself, plenty of shopping, feasting at Nyonya (Malaysian) restaurant in Manhattan's Chinatown, looking at yummy desserts at Little Italy, more shopping, Japanese Hibachi dinner when Claire met up with us and out drinking with the girls. Here are pictures from Day 1 and the a bit from Day2.

Weekend in the city - a preview

This is a preview of what went on over the weekend in the city.... thanks to all my girls and moms for an amazing weekend!!~

Flashback to the 80s...

Weekend warriors...

Weekend warriors... that's what Pete and I were as we went through all of our stuff accumulated through the years from the basement and our room.

We sorted, threw, organized, labeled and argued about where to store or what items to sell, donate and/or give away. We did manage to get rid of a lot of stuff... and yet if you were to see our basement today... it still looks like it had the same amount of items before. I still have a pile of sorted items that I need to go through, but for the next few busy weekend, things may just have to wait :P

My bridal shower...

This past Saturday was my bridal shower, hosted by my dear girls, Michele, Sharon & Lori.... Thank you everyone for coming, the gifts and most importantly, for a wonderful and fun time!!

Wedding planning updates...

All the invitations has gone out... RSVPs are somewhat pouring in, cake ordered, flowers-check, dress is in - being altered at present, flights and logistics for out of town guests - still working out the kinks... and reception entertainment... err... who? What?! NO, we do not have that one down yet and we are under the less than 2 months mark!! Ick!!

Is there a wedding fairy godmother out there? Somehere? Anywhere?!!

Baby Santiago

Lunch break... Joanna and I headed over to Isabella's to see baby Sanchez... and he is oh so adorable!! We get to see him in 'action' - demonstrating to us his many very cute baby expressions. Santiago must be real happy to see Auntie Joanna & Auntie Sherene!

Quoting Mama Bella, "I am in love with my baby!" So are we!

Wicked was WICKED!! If you haven't already read the book and/or seen the musical (broadway, appolo victoria or on tour at your nearest main city) - this is one not to be missed! Just make sure you know your Wizard of Oz well in case you have questions :P

Anniversary wish to Viv & Ivan

A year ago... 07-07-07, together with their families and friends, I witnessed and celebrated the marriage of Vivian and Ivan at their Hong Kong ceremony and reception. Has time sure fly by quick... it was also at this time when (before, during and after the reception) when Viv suggested plugged ingrained it in my brain that I should stay on in HK for a few more days with her family. That was the greatest masterplan she had, planting that idea into my head and sure enough, we had a lot of fun together around the Hong Kong islands.
