To end of a legacy - the SUPER GAs

I will be attending a conference in Washington DC the entire week of May 26th - that same week will also be Isabella and Young Sang's last week at our office. I will truly miss them. In the few years we have all worked together, we have learned to respect each other, trust and also attuned ourselves to each person's work ethics. We (including our dear friend and former GA, Wojtek) have formed a great friendship inside and outside of the work place and have shared many interesting stories with each other. It will be strange for me to head back to work after the conference without Isabella and Young Sang there. I wish you both best wishes and good luck in your future plans and know that you have been a true friend and the greatest colleagues anyone could ever ask for!

Isabella & Beth's Baby shower

The entire OIE office came in celebration of Isabella & Beth's baby shower... and yes, you read that correct. A baby shower attended by almost everyone in our office (Men included!). There were an assortment of food, games and cute presents!! Baby Sanchez and Baby Biniskiewicz will be so thrilled to see their new toys and outfits! Thanks you everyone who helped made this shower a memorable one for Isabella & Beth and a super thank you to my dearest and prettiest co-hostess, Joanna!

We had an early birthday dinner celebration at Chef's Restaurant on Saturday evening for Amelia, followed by presents and a little chocolate raspberry tart-cake. Mom's here!

My mother's in town... good thing the weather's holding up nicely too. She's been to WNY a couple of times.. but never this warm :P She's going to be here for about a month - between my place and Sharon. For the time being, she's mostly at Sharon's caring for her after her left foot surgery (nothing too serious!). She's been here for a week and a few days now and today, she flew to the west coast to the Grand Canyon State to Phoenix, AZ for a girls' weekend with Aunt Barbara. Have a great weekend mummy and we will see you next week!!

Jou Ling & Jonathan Wurster

My partner in crime, video project 'assistant', gastronimic sidekick, and carpool buddy back in our college days in KDU, Penang and now semi-legal advisor/advisee - Jou Ling surprised me with a phone call at work on April Fool's Day to announce that she and boyfriend of three years, Jon had tied the knot.

It was no April Fool's day joke or anything - in fact, I have her mother in the background on the phone to verify Jou's claims. Thanks for the surprise announcement! I know that you did tell me some time back that you and Jon were on the way to become Mr. & Mrs. but what a wonderful surprise! Peter and I are so happy to hear about your nuptials and thank you for sharing pictures of your beautiful wedding day(s).

Michael Bublé Concert

This was my second concert to see Michael Bublé. The first one was in a more intimate venue at Shea's Performing Arts Center and this time it was at HSBC Arena in downtown Buffalo. Joanna, Amelia and I had a great time at Michael Bublé's concert!! Here's one of the video caught on my little point and shoot camera!

Couch+Potato=WE WERE

Today, we did absolutely NOTHING!! Chele's back for the weekend and before she heads to Germany next week, Peter and I spent the day catching up on sleep, laundry and lounging.

A very much needed breather of a weekend for us lot. For this weekend, Peter and I are not heading somewhere for an event or appointment of any sort. A time to revive our tired souls from work, travels, social engagements and wedding planning. Aaahh.. the life of a po-tae-toe / po-tah-toe!!

Florida Panhandle

Adventurers we both were... along US Route 98 - from Panama City to Pensacola and everything in between... we stopped, we visited, we shopped, we ate, we took pictures and off we continued to the next stop.

Peter and I flew into Pensacola on Friday morning and drove immediately to Panama City to Mindi's. We spent a relaxing full day with the Jacobs and had so much fun making animal sounds with Alyssa. How big you have gotten Aly and we can't wait to see you again soon!!

One year anniversary
