Hair cut...

Had a very busy day today at work.. and after that, I rushed to Leon's for a hiar cut... got it short down to shoulder length. I love the cut thanks to Erica!! Feels so much lighter after the trim!

I have overbooked myself for the May 21st weekend... I've got 4 places to be that day!! Ick.. think Think THINK Sherene.... what to do now? Clone myself?!!

Got some errands to run for the graduations ceremonies I am attending tomorrow and for the rest of the weekend... will update you guys more later!!

School's out!!

It's official!!! I am all done for the semester!! Presentations over with.. final papers turned it.. and I even got one grade back for one of my classes today, and it's a big fat A !!

It's graduation weekend here at UB and I will be there to cheer on and congratulate some of my dearest friends... a big shout out to all the graduates!!

All is here... Tan family reunion

Tuesday morning came... and Michele's parents, brother and girlfriend, Jacklyn arrived safely in Buffalo. We have a full house here and it feels so homey!~!~

Missing you already, Lovey!

Here's a recent (taken last evening) picture of me and Peter. Doesn't he look great with short hair?! I love running my fingers through it!! Thanks Peter for spending the weekend both with us girls, friends from near and afar. Had fun playing basketball back home and stopping by here in Buffalo to meet up, hang out and be a very gracious host when Shen, Jamie, Yin & Mark were here!

Yin Yin & Mark

Both Yin Yin and Mark arrived safely and early on Sunday morning... 5.30a.m. to be exact. They both took the bus from NYC after some sightseeing in the city. Yin flew into NYC from Penang or was it Singapore and Mark flew in from Dallas - -he's currently training/working there.

Let them freshen up a little, breakfast at Tim Horton's and an early nap time before heading out. And we all did that considering it was barely 7 a.m. after an early breakfast. We didn't head out for the Falls till about 11 a.m. Yes, you hear me right... to the Falls I go again... 2 times in one week. Only this time, instead of rain and cold breeze when Shen & Jamie were here a couple of days ago... it was warm, sun shiny weather of high 60s. Lucky us for a postcard picture perfect day out!

sunny weekend...

We were all in Rochester on Friday evening...for an early Mother's Day celebration with Nancy. We got her a bouquet of flowers with some really lovely looking orchids, a balloon and a card that was just perfect!!

Today was fun.. we woke up... lounge around in our PJs, the sun was shining bright and warm, we were able to fire up the grill for the first time this year, did some weed pulling, "stole" some pretty plants from Nancy's garden (thanks for the lilies, hyacinths, irises, etc.) and played some basketball.... family style - girls against guys! There were a lot of pushing, yelling, and car alarms going off... the neighbors must be amused at the sight they saw!! Time out for Mario who kept yelling in front of the girls in an attempt to steal possesion of the bball :P

Here's Jamie and myself.... bracing the cold wind and sprinkles of mist and rain... you have to come back to visit me longer Jamie... think of all the shopping you could have done!! I must admit you did well on that first day at the Galleria Mall... but Eaton Centre - Toronto is a couple of Galleria's put together! I wish we had more time in Toronto together!!

Peter and me drove up to Toronto today with Shen and Jamie to send them to the bus station... that's where they catch their bus to Ottawa to see Su Jin. You two had better plan on more days the next time you come for a visit!! There's so much stuff we could have done and go see in Toronto!! Come back soon!!

Missing Barrel!!

Jamie!! What do you think you are doing? I know that we all talked about all the daredevil acts that occured...but, how could you go without the one important neccessity?!? Go get yourself a barrel first before thinking of going down the Falls.. sillY!! *muaks...

Shen & Sher

Here's Shen and myself... look at how excited he is to see me again! Both Shen and Jamie are on their mini US trip.. first stop was to Buffalo to see me *yippie! and the Falls... next, they move East to Quebec for Su Jin's (senior B.R.A.T.'s) wedding, NYC is the next stop and lastly, Shen's old college town/city - Boston U alumnae, home of the Redsox (go SOX go!) the one and only Beantown - Boston, MA.

Visitors from home...

Shen & Jamie arrived safely this morning... after a night of sleeplessness in Newark airport... I told Shen that they should have caught the last flight out the night before.. but he shrugged it off saying that its okay.. they'll manage the overnight lay over and how Jamie as a first time visitor to the US may delay their arrival in Newark making them miss their connection... well, he was half right about that!! It was Shen himself that was caught in the whole immigration check point security search and not Jamie. I wonder why they selected Shen? Did he look overly suspicious?? :p

Well, after reaching home... we all went out for some breakfast, Peter was around so he joined us. Later... the trip to the Falls. Sadly, both Penangites brought light sprinkles of rain with them. Imagine that!! Instead of the hot tropical sun.. they brought rain. Sheesh!!

No more classes.. for now!

Last day of class today... finished with one presentation so far... now it's crunch time for final papers!! IcK!~

Thinking of me...

Someone's been thinking of me... well, this someone thinks of me all the time! :P Peter sent me a card today... what a surprise it was. Thank you so much for the card love... with all my heart, I love you lots!~!~
